After the JLo Facebook campaign!

The big one building now is that Cyprus is not fit to hold the rotating EU presidency next year.

Do keep up with the programme Bill.

Oh obviously. Same drivel, different day. You and your silly conspiracies....Bananiot and the so called benefits of the Annan Plan....VP attacking Kiks as the source of all evil. Welcome to the Cyprus Forum and have a lovely day.

One day (perhaps when you grow up) you’ll realize that it’s the US that has been fostering Islamofaschism with the implantation and preservation of select leaders that get the job done… the very ones slowly getting toppled today.

Short clip of Obama's speech he gave yesterday concerning the recent events in the middle-east:

What you fail to grasp, box head, is that whoever is in charge of these countries will certainly want to have good relations with the sole remaining super power. That is just common sense which you do not have.

Robert Fisk: A new truth dawns on the Arab world

And all the while, across the Middle East, we are waiting to see the downfall of America's friends. In Egypt, Mr Mubarak must be wondering where he flies to. In Lebanon, America's friends are collapsing. This is the end of the Democrats' world in the Arab Middle East. We do not know what comes next. Perhaps only history can answer this question.

We know a little more then that and i for one do not need to wait for history to answer it. We know that the powerful Egyptian military receives financing and equipment from the United States. For example...the Egyptian military has acquired f16s, m1a1 battle tanks, state of the art aerial surveillance aircraft and missile batteries...so much military equipment that i can not possibly name them all here. If there is a change in leadership in Egypt, that leader will probably need the nod of approval from the Egyptian military who is not going to let any box head take Mr Mubarak's seat. This is the Middle East after all. So, Egyptian relations with the US will always be fine. What is not certain is this...Egypt under Mr Mubarak was the first of our neighboring countries with whom the Republic of Cyprus concluded an agreement to determine their respective EEZs. Turkey has always asked Egypt to scrap that agreement stating back then that the sea area must be divided equitably between Turkey and Egypt. Right now, as we speak...we couldnt ask for better relations between Cyprus and Egypt. Will that still be the case under new Egyptian leadership? Or will there be change under the guise of muslim brotherhood? Only history can answer THAT question.
