After Wednesday we will see the status quo continue and the non recognition of the trnc. What we will see is that TC's are recognising the RoC each day they take its money through work provided to them in the free area.

Hello its been 6 years an you have nothing? after March the UN pull out and recognition will be the head of the agenda as the world will see that we cannot unite the chasm is just to wide to bridge and another 100 years of negotiations by "Cypriots" will not produce jack shit.

Your leaders have been lying to you. Recognition will never happen. I am sorry but the world will never recognize Turkey's war crime.

And yours to you, you will never get your land back...Im prepared to stay as is, as the alternative is unthinkable Cyprus a Greek island with TCs as just another minority aint gonna happen. Viva la Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Read what you just stated. What do you mean "And yours to you"? Rest assured that i am fully aware of Turkey's intransigent position so i am not expecting much from these talks. But the talk amongst the TCs that if your demands are not met that this somehow leads to recognition of your breakaway state is just preposterous. Its never going to happen unless the RoC signs the northern half away. That is the reality.

No chance of A Bit Less Intransigence from your Muhktar then VP?

He will only reciprocate if your commi leader starts the process.

How's your friend Frau Angela Merkel mate?

What was it she said about Turkish Intransgicence a few days ago?

Talk to Jack Straw....partition and recognition.

Rather talk to the Leader of Europe's Powerful Nation.... Frau Merkel

So any chance of showing some Goodwill and Flexibilty for a change and giving it up with Maximalist Demands?

Lit in 100 200 years time people wont even remember we were once united and recognition will follow we are here for the long haul. What do you think will happen to your chances of solving Cyprus if Turkey is turned away by the EU? do you think they will be any more interested a solution? No they will tell you to get stuffed as your EU leverage goes up in smoke.

It's the Good People of the Free Areas that lost a great deal more than others, who are rightly more concerned about their "security".

If anything, a breakdown in relations between Turkey and the EU is best for Cyprus. This will mean that the EU can just back the Republic of Cyprus, instead of having to appear politically correct and listen to unfounded Turkish concerns.

Welcome to the forum Perpendicular, and I second that statement. I would also add, the sooner the better.

Be careful what you wish for  If that happens then the border stays and we LOOK TO THE EAST. We get on with our lives and prosper without the need for talks and you whine your heads off living in the past.

Wake up you fool, look whats taking place other there. You are obviously not happy, imagine, with even less hope you might just disappear after all. You are the ones who need to becareful what you wish for. The RoC is offering you a get out of jail chance with some bail conditions, but seems you just want to get out and run the show. Such nerve.
