The war in Iraq was indeed about oil (fuel) by the big players, but it was not about stealing Iraqi oil, but making sure that the oil was in safe hands and that it would not threaten supplies to the west. The cost of the war in Iraq was/is in the $$$$$$'s for the US, close to 1 Trillion $$$$$$'s, which was/is way more than what it would have cost to buy that oil from Iraq on open market. It wasn't about the cost, but assurances that the supply would not be threatened. Same in Cyprus, the EU will benefit from energy coming from Cyprus/Israel, and anyone threatening that energy supply will too meet it's fate. As they say, family/friendship is one thing, but business is another. Who ever steps in the way of the oil/gas production/supplies/transportation from eastern Mediterranean will be dealt with in the same way as Iraq was. Saddam too was a friend of the west one time. "If you can't fuck a friend, who can you fuck". The rest is history.
You have a lot to learn, who is dieing in Iraq? If the USA or the other regional powers want control they will take it one way or another and its normally the locals that suffer. Watch learn and weep.
