BIRDS WITHOUT WINGS

Postby Bananiot » Wed Jan 19, 2011 12:16 am

Some days ago a forumer mentioned a book by Louis de Bernieres titles "Birds without wings". I ordered a copy from Amazon and it arrived yesterday. It is a masterpiece! I started reading it and cannot put the book down. I would like to thank the forumer (whom I do not remember I am afraid) for bringing this title to our attention.

I did mention it a few years back and a few months back too. Lena had opened a thread about best books to read;thats was my first mention of it. Lena also read it I believe. So have a few of my friends here.

I think another forumer mentioned it a few weeks ago. A GC perhaps.

I met Louis de Bernieres some time ago at Alexandra Palace in North London, during the wine festival, I think. It was just after I had read "Captain Corelli's mandolin" and I was quite pleased to meet him in person.

Another moron. I just happen to like Penelope Cruz, if that's ok with you. You can have Nicholas Cage.
