The reality is Turkey is having the best of both worlds...She is a privileged economic partner in the EU and a highly respected member of NATO...(Highly respected by the only superpower left,the USA)...Not being a member allows Turkey to pursue her economic and geopolitical interests elsewhere as well...Just let people believe that Turkey is crying at the EU door,they must have some hope that eventually the EU pressure would become too much and she will give in on Cyprus...You and I know that is not going to happen,and as you mentioned there will certainly be 1 Million "new" TCs in the North within 5 years,and probably 2 Million withing 20 years...Then Turkey would suggest a UNitary state solution based on democracy and human rights principles,and majority rule...
