Seriously?

Exactly, they cannot see hes not really interested in entering all hes doing is giving the impression that he is to keep the investment rolling into the Turkish economy, these Europeans are such suckers they cant even take any effective decisions to buy pencils let alone cancel Turkeys EU so called path.

You know what? I'm starting to understand this Turkish logic more and more each day. Suddenly Erdogan doesn't seem like the only idiot in the village.....(seems like the whole village has issues)

Perhaps these "suckers" are happy that Turkey does not want to join the EU club, thanks to their policy at keeping Turkey at the door drooling, but use Turkey all the same for it's cheap labour for imports and export expensive items to Turkey in return. It is a win-win for the EU. So who is the real sucker here, the one who is being used, or the one who is doing the using.?

Erdogan's of the world will come and go, but Turkey will always want to join the EU Club. The only problem is, the longer it takes for Turkey to become an EU member, the harder it will become for her to become an EU member. Turkey will always be at the mercy of the EU to whether to let her in the club or not. This is something Turkey has ZERO control over, other than playing by the EU rules. Time is against Turkey. Turkey can boast all she wants about her importance to the EU, but it means very little to the EU, if they won't allow Turkey in.

Often Turkey likes to play the role of a "Casanova", to claim as to what a great lover he is. Of course, the real test to such claims by a self-centered egomaniac is, what the other lover thinks of his claims, and so far, the other "lover" (EU) has given thumbs down to Turkey's (Casanova) greatly exaggerated performance. Hardly surprising because of "Casanova's" impotence.!

What ever excuses or comparisons you wanna make is OK by Turkey they are obviously in no rush and its appears to be working, the current government look likely to win the elections in June and more the same no commitment will continue, what does this mean for the GCs, simple really the leverage they thought would get them what they wanted ain't working 6/7 years is proof enough, as Turkey moves into stagnation mode with regards to joining the EU the GC south will have little is no leverage left and a lot of egg on their faces thinking they could out maneuver Turkey, in 6/7 they have not seen one inch of land returned one Turkish soldiers go home or a reduction in the number of settlers, in fact the opposite, the predictions are at this rate the population in the TRNC will be over 1 million within 5 years, (please refrain from they will swallow you up crap, we accepted that in 1974 rather the Turks than the GCs and Greeks) what will your GC bum chums do then a population who doesn't even know any GCs nor do they share a history with them, you should really listen to what they have to say about GC in the north, to put it bluntly they don't give a shit about them or their losses, then the GCs can try to negotiate with these people because as you claim they will be the only ones left..

People often confuse wishful thinking with reality,VP...
The reality is Turkey is having the best of both worlds...She is a privileged economic partner in the EU and a highly respected member of NATO...(Highly respected by the only superpower left, the USA)...Not being a member allows Turkey to pursue her economic and geopolitical interests elsewhere as well...Just let people believe that Turkey is crying at the EU door, they must have some hope that eventually the EU pressure would become too much and she will give in on Cyprus...You and I know that is not going to happen, and as you mentioned there will certainly be 1 Million "new" TCs in the North within 5 years, and probably 2 Million withing 20 years...Then Turkey would suggest a UNitary state solution based on democracy and human rights principles, and majority rule...

There is nothing to celebrate,my dear friend...What has happened to Cyprus and her people is a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions!
I am only warning you of what WILL happen unless you come to your senses and agree to a realistic solution that will put a halt to the status quo, which will inevitably result in the Turkification of the trnc, and a new breed of people called 'Turks of Cyprus'...

They might always be 'illegals' in your eyes but the world will not see it that way forever...We now have 3rd generation of 'Turks of Cyprus' born and bred in Cyprus...Without a political solution there is no power in the world that can force these people to leave..With a political solution, and with certain encouragement and inducements some might leave voluntarily...That is the best you can hope,realistically...But realism has not been your strong point ,has it????
