Ooooh goooody a chance to remind all that Our Jerry and Milti and my sort of good self sort of met Cherie Blair last year... well she def smiled at us, and am pretty sure she mouthed "good morning" to me ..... and we def met and chatted with the CY National Heroes Mssrs Candounas and Apostolides, and they treated us to a glass of champagne... and it don't get much better that that.

Think will remind Our Jerry that we have a date to meet the famous Basil Nodear at the Old Bailey, London, later this year, to see the alleged Orange Stealer of Morphou sent down.

In October 1962. The then Vice-President of the USA, Lyndon B Johnson, paid Cyprus a visit. Doubtless he had talks deciding the fate of Cyprus. He met with a crowd of Turkish Cypriots near the Ledra Palace Hotel. I was a member of the Lyce band attempting to play the Star & Stripes something. What a noise we made. We only had half-hour to practice it. He shook my hand and asked how long had we been playing that music. I said that day was the first time we ever heard of it.
I mentioned this when the subject came up a few years back, but I could not find the newspaper clip. Sorry it is in black and white and the paper has turned yellow. No need to point me out.

Met Bill Clinton and Nicholas Cage at labour party conference in Blackpool in I think 2003 or 4

Most ''Test Match'' teams whilst working at Trent Bridge in the early 90s (my son then aged about 10 sat on the New Zealand teams Balcony during the test match (thanks to Chris Cairnes the NZ player who was with Notts at the time). The nicest I met was Clive Lloyd (West Indies - who was commentating)

Appeared in Erasure Video in 1990 ,also met a lot of 'pop'stars in 1990 /91 whist working in London ( a photographic studio next to the hotel used to do shoots for album covers and we supplied their coffee)

Met Ozzy Osboune while working on OZ fest at donnington Park. Also while working there met many GP drivers and moto GP drivers including Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell etc and film and TV stars who were attending the Euro GP.

Numerous ''famous'' footballers

Pricess Anne and the Queen (G&T please) Mother

God thats what you get with being an old codger ...I'm sure I'll think of more..Just remembered Spyros Kyprianou at the Papapetrou (Troodos) Hotel along with other ministers I dont remember.

Also met Marios Matsakis at LCA airport

Oh and I've met GR , DT and CBBB
