How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

If the South Government is determined to find a solution to the Cyprus Problem don't you think we have enough on our plates to add another issue?
According UN resolution 1803 (XVII) "1. The right of peoples and nations to permanent sovereignty over their natural wealth and resources must be exercised in the interest of their national development and of the well-being of the people of the State concerned." So who are the people? Now if the 'state' without a settlement is only contributing to the wealth of South Cyprus does this not go against UN Resolution? There are two communities constituting to the 'whole of Cyprus' for self-determination.

Let me know when you're ready to give back my share of the islands natural wealth and resources in Morphou.

When a settlement is reached. Unlike your Government enjoying the wealth which only contributes to the South with no settlement as we speak. Which I refer you back to the UN Resolution above.

What a dumb post!

UN resolution 1803 is pertaining to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons!

But anyway, shouldn't you be looking at the WHOLE SET of non-abided UN resolutions pertaining to Cyprus that are keeping this country in a mess?

Such as…

UN RESOLUTION 361 (1974)
http://www.un.int/cyprus/scr353.htm

UN RESOLUTION 541 (1983)
http://www.un.int/cyprus/scr541.htm

And your Government is as dumb who shakes hands with Israel who has gone against countless UN Resolution.

Sure UN Resolutions you might have the view keeping Cyprus in a mess but you can't deny some were adopted because of Greek or G/C politics.

UN Resolution 541 was adopted because of the successful Georgios Kyriakou Iacovou. But he never argues or thinks that the T/C were forced into enclaves and suffered for 11 years before Turkey intervene nor he argues the T/C existence for self-determination.

What does that mean? Why didnt you whine when Israel was Turkey's biggest ally not too long ago you hypocrite!? And why are you not whining now when your beloved leaders shake hands with war criminals like President Bashir of Sudan? Quit perpetuating the crimes of your father and evolve already. Northern Cyprus does not belong to you exclusively you thief. That is your so called state that YOU proclaim. We can share in our resources when you decide that you want a truly unified State. You cant have your breakaway state and think you can share in the natural wealth and resources of the RoC. wtf is that? Evolve already.

More like in your general direction.....

NICOSIA, Cyprus (AP) — Cypriot President Dimitris Christofias urged Turkey on Tuesday to give up what he called its gunboat diplomacy in the eastern Mediterranean and drop its opposition to the island nation's offshore exploration for gas deposits.

Christofias accused Turkey of hampering a Greek Cypriot search for gas off its southern shore with warplanes and navy ships. He said Turkey must stop acting like the "neighborhood policeman" if it wants to join the European Union.

"Neither Turkey, nor any other country, has the right to tell us . . . that we don't have the right to carry out this search," Christofias said after talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in the Cypriot capital, Nicosia. "This is absurd logic which unfortunately Turkey employs."
