Jimmy Light has asked me to convey his sincere thanks to the people of Cyprus for their hospitality. (He left the Island 3 days ago).

He knows that he has oft been mentioned on this forum and would like you all to know that his stay was most enjoyable.

Jimmy is not a political animal and, although it is a bit late, wishes you ALL a very happy and prosperous New Year.

He is now taking up residence in the Kensington area of London and I will no doubt be seeing quite a lot of him during my own stay (until April).

If one is unable to accept the good wishes of a person seeking to thank his 'Host Nation' for their kindness and hospitality during his visit, (without resorting to inane vulgarity) then surely it would be far kinder to avoid responding.

Unless you would wish Jimmy to consider your ignorance an affliction you are unable to control.

Have the good grace to accept the man's wishes in the spirit he intended, such comment as you have made is beneath you I'm sure.

He is a resourceful and forthright chap with an interesting (if not quite astonishing) outlook on life.

Fortunately there are still some people who have the capacity to think for themselves, far too many are apt to accept as gospel whatever the 'Media' requires them to think.

Among the latter rank, I believe you fit in perfectly well and your readiness to leap to the defence of those who commit atrocities ( even subsequent to conclusive proof) is evidence enough to support such a claim.

Good manners decree that a personal insult should not be responded to in like manner, therefore, having regard for your obvious failures, I can only offer you my sympathy.
