TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTRY ISSUES WARNING .............

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a security warning for Turkish citizens willing to travell to South Cyprus. Pointing to the rise in racist attacks in South Cyprus that targeted Turkish nationals, the statement called on Turkish citizens to avoid traveling there when not necessary.

Drawing attention to the fact that Turkish currency and flag are receiving negative reaction in South Cyprus, it also noted that Turkey-based GSM sim cards do not work there as there has been no roaming agreement between Turkish and Greek Cypriot operators.

The Foreign Ministry noted that Turkish citizens will not be able to benefit from any consulate services of Turkey in South Cyprus as Turkey does not recognize the entity and abstains from any diplomatic relations with it.

It urged its citizens traveling to South Cyprus to register at the Ministry’s e-consulate services which will aid their safe return to Turkey in case of any danger that may arise.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry reminded its citizens that they would need to obtain visas in order to travel to the South from Greek Cypriot representation offices as the Greek Cypriot Side does not allow them to cross to South Cyprus from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and they will have to fly to South Cyprus via another country.

All part of Turkey forcing her people to spend money where they are most likely to get it back!

Never mind Turkey turning into pre-revolution Iran, methinks it's just catching up with Mao's Cultural Reforms for China ...

this is uncanny, halal... because exactly the same warning was issued to german citizens visiting great britain when, if u remember, the nazis invaded and occupied mainland europe and the channel islands... see below...

The Nazi propaganda minister joseph goebbels has issued a security warning for German citizens willing to travel to Britain. Pointing to the rise in racist attacks in Britain that targeted German nationals, the statement called on German citizens to avoid traveling there when not necessary.

A load of rubbish!!! nothing more than scare tactics, there must be an increase in visits to ROC & they are trying to put a stop to it.

Turkey made the warning to her own citizens, the Turks, for them not to go the RoC and not to the TCs. Learn to tell the difference, because Turkey does not consider the TCs as her own citizens, much to all the NeoPartitionist disappointment.
