I am opening up a local business of selling rugs and carpets I am looking at importing rugs from Turkey but what with the history, I'm not quite sure whether they will be purchased or not. Please help with this poll...

Never bought anything made in turkey. Always checked the label on clothing. just the thought would send a chill up my back.

Stay away from crooks.

I used to collect Antique Rugs (Persian, Afghans, Moroccan, kilims etc) and everyone I spoke to in "the trade" had no respect for "Turkish" Rugs which are made in "Turkey".

Angel, do what I do. Tell the Turks not to put labels on and put "Made in Cyprus" labels yourself. They will sell like hot cakes. While you are at it bring some Gulluri's too. But be careful you don't burn yourself.
