Your common expenses should be included in your rent as your landlord (or the property owner) is legally responsible to pay them.
However, lots of Cypriot landlords leave it to the tenants to pay them.
However again, if you don't pay them - they can only chase the property owner for them, not you.
Find out how much they are and decide if you are prepared to pay them on top of your rent.
Best speak to your landlord to get it sorted first.
It's usual for the Electricity, Telephone, Municipality (rubbish removal) and water bills to be paid by the Tenant and for all other expenses to be paid by the Landlord.
Or, in other words, anything you have to SIGN UP FOR to be paid by you. You do not have to sign up for common expenses, nor can they be 'put in your name'.
