Polish woman has twins with different fathers

Posted: Dec 28, 2010 3:11 PM by CBS News

POLAND- A mother of twins got pregnant after she was sleeping with both her husband and a lover, separately.

She gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. The woman then filed for divorce after her husband said he was not the father and that he did not want to pay child support.

However, DNA tests show that the husband was the father of the baby boy, while the lover was the father of the baby girl.

The doctor who conducted the DNA tests said it is only the seventh such case in the world. Such rare cases are possible when an ovulating woman produces two eggs and has sex with two partners in a short period of time.

Local media reports that the woman is now living with both babies and her lover.

Nothing worse than stirring someone else's porridge when it's still warm...

There are several stories of ladies who gave birth to different coloured twins, but with one father:

I think you have your songs mixed up - what you have just described are the hairs on the dicky-dido of the mayor of Bayswater's daughter (which hang down to her knee), and you forgot the one with fairy-light on to show us the way....

The triplets I think belonged to a lady called Starkey, and the last line of that limerick was

"One black, one white and one Khaki"
