lol...i missed my GCSE year cos my dad asked if i'd rather go watch Arsenal that season.

When Panayia church burnt down in the 80's, the Greek school moved to the primary school opposite...that school was so big and tall...there were so many places we could run around and bunk off.

In my last year, I was taught by a priest...he was the coolest priest id ever met and my best Greeks school teacher. Shame he was a Man Utd fan tho.

Sorry Source, the coolest priest is Father Charalambous in Pedhoulas, he Christened me and whenever I'm up in the mountains, I always stop by to say hello and have a drink with him. He's a lovely chap and loves talking to me about how he supported EOKA during the 1950s

Anyone ever go George's Cafe in Palmers Green? There is this Priest who eats there sometimes, always orders hefty bacon and egg.

All know ALL that area of Palmers Green....my first job was next door to Georges...what used to be a greengrocers called Karsas. I think it's a Pound shop now.

After Karsas, I worked over the road at Med Food. I think it's still called Med Food but run by Turks now.

All that is my 'endz'.

Do you remember when George's got shut down because the health inspectors found a cockroach infestation in his kitchen? :D

But he reopened, tbh its quite nice there now. I just love the fact only Greeks go there, it makes it feel like some kind of exclusive club.
