How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

In the past, we were told that the coup in 1974 was committed by a bunch of mindless people (afrones, was the Greek word used) and some of those that used this term were part of the coup! These mindless people have been very well schooled to behave in this way. What is of real surprise is the inability of the rest of us to controll them and stop them from making our dire situation even worse.

hooligans can be well organised and difficult to control; especially if they have a cause to rally around, ie. ejecting a perceived invader from their lands. i read it took a few busloads of police to get the apoel hooligans in order.

in the north, it was the authorities themselves preventing the liturgy, not protecting the churchgoers from harm from nutters. see the difference?

I call for Christofias to close all crossings until further notice. He needs to alert Europe and the UN that Turkey continues along with a group of renegate TC's to illegally occupy Cyprus, violate human rights and deny people their religious rights. Not people that Europe should want in the mix.

And what will be the benefit of closing the gates which were open by the TC's? Just another fiasco for our side, like the APOEL basketball match.

By the way, this is a place where tit for tat is not uncommon. I am sure the church services would have gone ahead, as they did over the last few years, had the APOEL funs been a little less racist.

And these tit-for-tatting Turks are the ones you wish to socialise with?

Stormtrooping Turkish Forces of NATO in return for a few coin-throwing sports fans!

Explains why you absolve the 1974 Invasion ...
