The occupation regimes Xmas present.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

"Attacks marred Christmas festivals on Saturday as church leaders called for peace and reconciliation."

I think the Pope was addressing the Turks along with the other barbarians of this planet in his Christmas day speech ...

Benedict asked God to "grant perseverance to all those Christian communities enduring discrimination and persecution, and inspire political and religious leaders to be committed to full respect for the religious freedom of all."

What would have happened if the GCs had not left quietly?

"In the Philippines, a bomb exploded in a church during a Christmas mass wounding six people including the priest."

"In the northern Nigerian city of Kano on Friday, suspected Islamist sect gunmen attacked a church during Christmas Eve services but were fought off by soldiers, a military spokesman said."

"We recall the tragedy that struck the Christian community in Iraq. Such fanatic actions are universally condemned by Christians and Muslims," he said, referring to recent bloody attacks including a raid on a Baghdad church that killed 44 worshippers and two priests on October 31.

DTA, you shouldnt react like that. Bir has already cleared up this whole mess. The GCs are to blame for this.

The occupation regime has decided on the holiest days of the Christian world to forbid Christmas mass from happening in the churches of Yialousa and Rizokarpaso. despite being given permits from months ago, the priests were informed yesterday during mass that they will not be allowed to celebrate Christmas this year.

They were in such a hurry to stop this that they interrupted mass on Saturday and kicked everyone out of the church.

All right! Merry Christmas

SAVAGES and HATE MONGERS that's what the Turks are .............

Having said that God has assisted the people of Yialousa and Rizokarpaso through harder times and they have lived on keeping the legacy and they will again until FREEDOM comes to them and OUR lands which the Turks have taken under a gun.

If the TCs are sharing power with the GCs in Federal Cyprus Republic they can find their own voice, and make it heard loud and clear...Not before...

And what voice might that be my friend? The TC"s have spoken loud and clear many a time thus far. They are standing by mama Turkey and will please her to the end. The TC's have had several opportunities in the last three years to show support for a fair equal solution and Famagusta is a perfect example where their take take attitude has been shown up.

These are the good will gestures they keep talking about.

Perhaps all the TCs can now see what two faced, double standard, hypocritical MFs they all are.

Turkey in EU, yeah, and pigs will fly.

There is nothing in this to make Bananiot happy, you ding dong..

He has been trying to warn you,for donkey's years,of what would happen if you kept refusing to come to a power-sharing agreement with the TCs and hence see Turkey off the island...There is a strong Islamic element in the current Turkish government which would be delighted to make Cyprus the battleground for the faithful and the infidel...I will let you put both 'faitful' and 'infidel' in quatation marks...Get ready to feel more of this religious pressure, and pray they would just stop at banning mass at X'mas time...

God forbid the tcs ever take any responsibility for anything.

Churches destroyed in the north: it's the GCs fault for letting the situation get this far. tc's have nothing to do with this it's the Turks that call the shots.
Settlers arrive: it's the gcs fault for letting the situation get ts far. Tcs have nothing to do with this it's the Turks that call the shots.
Church service at xmas is banned: guess who is to blame and who is calling the shots.

But when someone pipes up and tells him that the tc's don't matter anymore and its the Turks that need to be negotiated he responds with " the need to show empathy to the tc's cause and history," the need for the GCs to accept responsibility and say sorry to their fellow tc's.

Going by the above, do you now see why the people on this island, in Turkey, the EU etc are caring less and less of what the tc's say? Now you can blame the GCs and the whole world for this till the cows come home but it won't change the fact that the Tcs don't matter anymore, they are n anachronism....a quaint reminder of an island villager that has been replaced. You've had your own geographic segregated land for the past 36 years and all you've managed to do is lose your culture, your numbers and your identity.

Now bring me a Turk to talk to cause what he'll say will matter.

Yep,you got it right,DT...
The GCs have the prime responsiblity and blame for the way things turned out in Cyprus...Your blind, hatred- filled and revenge -seeking minds have made sure the TCs have become helpless spectators in their own country..Now you have to go and talk to the Turks about the fate of your own country...Good luck!

Nothing to do with your inflated sense of self importance and opportunism landing you into trouble then.

Nope...We were just minding our own business, being good Cypriots, when you hit us on the head with the ENOSIS stick...The rest is history,my dear DT...

What do you know about "being good Cypriots" ?

Much much more than YOU do!!!
