you mean, come to a power-sharing agreement with turkey's puppets so that, through them, turkey can control the whole island legitimately, instead of a third illegitimately? what do you take free cypriots for? stupid? all the stupids are already dangling from turkish strings, geddit?

Who is being paranoid now?!?

Nikitas wrote:How about the contention that the north is a democratic regime which follows European precepts? Remember Talat stressing "we are the true Europeans", distinguishing the north from the south?

True Europeans do not interfere in religious services. True Cypriots would not even think about such things.

Obviously whatever is going on up north has nothing to do with Cypriots and it proves right those in this forum that call the regime a puppet.

This is the regime that wants equal status. Presumably to enforce the licensing of religious services all over the island.

We have a saying,Nikitas, 'He who pays the money, plays the tune!'
Lets not beat around the bush. As long as the TCs are economically dependent on Turkey, they cannot exercise their own will..That is where the GC policy of embargoes and isolations of the TCs have backfired..If the TCs are sharing power with the GCs in Federal Cyprus Republic they can find their own voice, and make it heard loud and clear...Not before...

Turkey in EU, yeah, and pigs will fly.

There is nothing in this to make Bananiot happy, you ding dong..

He has been trying to warn you,for donkey's years,of what would happen if you kept refusing to come to a power-sharing agreement with the TCs and hence see Turkey off the island...There is a strong Islamic element in the current Turkish government which would be delighted to make Cyprus the battleground for the faithful and the infidel...I will let you put both 'faitful' and 'infidel' in quatation marks...Get ready to feel more of this religious pressure, and pray they would just stop at banning mass at X'mas time...

God forbid the tcs ever take any responsibility for anything.

Churches destroyed in the north: it's the GCs fault for letting the situation get this far. tc's have nothing to do with this it's the Turks that call the shots.
Settlers arrive: it's the gcs fault for letting the situation get ts far. Tcs have nothing to do with this it's the Turks that call the shots.
Church service at xmas is banned: guess who is to blame and who is calling the shots.

But when someone pipes up and tells him that the tc's don't matter anymore and its the Turks that need to be negotiated he responds with " the need to show empathy to the tc's cause and history," the need for the GCs to accept responsibility and say sorry to their fellow tc's.

Going by the above, do you now see why the people on this island, in Turkey, the EU etc are caring less and less of what the tc's say? Now you can blame the GCs and the whole world for this till the cows come home but it won't change the fact that the Tcs don't matter anymore, they are n anachronism....a quaint reminder of an island villager that has been replaced. You've had your own geographic segregated land for the past 36 years and all you've managed to do is lose your culture, your numbers and your identity.

Now bring me a Turk to talk to cause what he'll say will matter.

Yep,you got it right,DT...
The GCs have the prime responsiblity and blame for the way things turned out in Cyprus...Your blind, hatred- filled and revenge -seeking minds have made sure the TCs have become helpless spectators in their own country..Now you have to go and talk to the Turks about the fate of your own country...Good luck!
