i blame the cypriot authorities... for allowing the match to take place in the first place.

cypriot teams should not engage in any form of sporting activity with an invader hell-bent on legitimising its presence on the island. any unsavory incident - on or off the field of play - will be used by the invader for propaganda purposes...

Reminds me of a Hodja story...

Burglers go and rob Nasreddin's house...He goes to tell his neighbour..
'Do you have a guard dog'? asks the neighbour... No,says Hodja.
'Did you have double locks on doors and windows?'. No...
'Did you have a sign warning the burglers they'd be shot on sight'? ..No.
'Well, its all your fault!' says the neighbour. Hodja scratches his head,confused...'Can't you find any fault at all with the Burglers?'... :)

Americans may have gotten many things wrong in their country (and abroad), but when it comes to ALL sports played in the US, they are an absolute angels and violence free where all the fans from the home team and visiting team sit mixed all around the stadium. The rest of the world can learn a thing or two on how Americans can do this, specially for a country that I consider to being a "violent society".!
