Very simple humanist. Every time the Turks arrive in Larnaca in an official capacity arranged by their govt sports body they recognise the Republic of Cyprus. Every time their teams stand to attention to the flag and anthem of Cyprus before the game they recognise the govt and state of Cyprus.

Every time our teams go over and the Turks are forced to have the Cyprus flag flying in Turkish stadiums they recognise the State of Cyprus. If they don't they'll be banned from international sports.

Actually the reverse. If the south shitriot does not play, they lose automatically so they have to play. It was only a formality game anyway. Play or not, south shitrus team is out.

How do you feel whenever the Cyprus flag flies proudly in Turkey skid mark? To add insult to injury in trabzon it was not only flying but that little team of yours also got kicked out of the champions league by a team from Famagusta. :D

Actually south shitrus is using that Turkish designed flag illegally. I'm glad the enemy appreciates and steals anything Turkish. At the end of the day apoel is out and Pinar Karsiyaka is in the next round.

Its best to go by the adage of ' those living in glass houses....etc' Then we would not have this shtupid discussion. If people want bovver, they will look for it and get in it. Local gov's are responsible for peace and order. They should take extreme responsibility with harsh penalties - whether Turkey, Cyprus or the Garden of Eden.IMO

Concentration camps for these people so they can turn onto themselves.

Before the flag of Cyprus was introduced, the flags of Greece and Turkey were used. The current flag was created as the result of a design competition in 1960. Under the constitution, the flag should not include either blue or red colours (the colours of the flag of Greece and the flag of Turkey), nor portray a cross or a crescent. All participants deliberately avoided use of these four elements in an attempt to make the flag "neutral".

The winning design was based on a proposal by İsmet Güney, a Turkish Cypriot painter.

The over exaggerated response and handling of the Turkish government and media over this incident, can only be seen as laughable and preposterous.

Notwithstanding the fact that such incidences are completely unwelcomed and should be condemned in the strongest words and ways - as the government, political parties and media of the Republic of Cyprus already did; APOEL fans did absolutely nothing more than what some Turkish fans did against an Israeli basketball team, less than two years ago in Turkey. Yet, we are still waiting to hear of any similar condemnation and actions by the Turkish government against its own citizens.

Here is all the evidence of what happened in Turkey, in January 2009.
