Are some traders profiteering (part 2)

Postby supporttheunderdog » Tue Dec 21, 2010 7:48 am

I do not know nor particularly care about the woes of smokers, but are the computer sellers ripping us off?

Why is it a "bottom end" Laptop can cost say GBP300 in the UK (GBP 38 including shipping to Cyprus) but Eur 450 (just over GBP 380) in ROC? eg a 25% uplift?

Anyone in the biz of selling computers out there willing to comment :?:

Same goes for a lot of other domestic electricals.

In the meantime, I for one will be avoiding the Cyprus computer sellers and as far as is possible will be using off-shore sources for technology items.

Never pay the advertised price here, I never do.

Go and see your mate, goumbaros, or relative. If you don't have one of those (as probably in your case), just argue about the price.

Well that’s yet another benefit you’ll have if you return to the UK! Think about it...

Why move back when I can buy on-line, paying only minimal postage, so I can enjoy both Cyprus and the Cheap IT?
