The sooner the better, but we are patient. Athens was occupied by the Ottomans for 375 years but was eventually liberated. Personally I think that Cyprus will be liberated within the next 25 years.

This is not about which foreign invader ruled Cyprus, but about what Cyprus is. Foreign invaders come and go, this doesn't change who we are and what our island is - a Hellenic island. Nothing the foreign invaders will do can change this. The Turks will fail to destroy our heritage on our island just like all other foreign invaders before them failed.

What was ever inclusive with the Turkish demands? From the time they set their foot on Cyprus until today they always tried to discriminate and segregate people based on our religion or ethnicity.

When have the Turks/TCs been generous? They always wanted far more than what proportionately belongs to their 18% minority, on the expense of our human and democratic rights.

When have they been compassionate? We forgave you 300+ years of oppression, and we are willing to forgive you again for your second round of crimes against us, so we can leave the past behind and finally have in Cyprus a normal democratic country. On the other hand you want to make us "pay the price" for a problem which was mostly your creation and impose on Cyprus some divisive, racist, apartheid so called "solution".

As I said before: Start acting like a friendly fellow Cypriot and you will be treated as a fellow Cypriot. For as long as you are acting as our enemy, trying to take our lands and our human and democratic rights, you will be treated as an enemy and that is exactly what you deserve.

If the Ottomans hadn't treated you with certain compassion and gave you the freedom to practice your language and religion,in those times where the Sultan's word was law,and there was nowhere to appeal,You would've been speaking Turkish and praying to Allah by now!!!Think about that and count your lucky stars...

The Ottomans killed 10s of thousands of Cypriots. How do you think your minority was created in Cyprus. They murdered real Cypriots and they imported Turks to replace them. They didn't kill everybody because they wanted to exploit the Cypriot people. Dead people don't pay taxes.

But don't worry, you will be treated in the same way that the Ottomans treated us, if thats what you want.

In the old days when empires wanted to expand they simply conquered other places and brought them under their rule...This was usually brought about by force of arms,and both sides had heavy casualties as a result...The Ottomans lost 80,000 soldiers to capture Cyprus...And I have no doubt 10s of thousands of Venetian soldiers were killed...I dispute your claim that 10s of thousands of Cypriots were killed..That was not the Ottoman way...But your hatred and bitterness would not let you see the truth of the matter...The same hatred and bitterness which drove you and your like to seek revenge on the TCs hundreds of years after the Ottoman invasion...And I have no doubt you would carry out your threats if you find the TCs at your mercy once again...But guess what? You might not have learnt anything from the past but we did...The TCs will never allow themselveds to be at your mercy again,not on your life!

In the summer of 1570, the Turks struck again, but this time with a full-scale invasion rather than a raid. We didn't seek any revenge for the Ottoman invasion from the TCs. In fact after Ottoman rule ended GCs and TCs lived together in peace without any major problems between them.

But unfortunately just 80 years after the end of Ottoman rule, you again collaborated with foreign Imperialists and you attacked us with the aim to once again have Ottoman style gains on our expense.

Our island will be liberated sooner or later either you like it or not. If you do not want to live as equal Cypriots in a free and democratic Cyprus, but instead you want to live separate from us in a Turkish state, then your only option will be to move to Turkey, because in Cyprus there will not be any Turkish state, not even a pseudo state, and any kind of racist discrimination and segregation will be abolished.

I bet he said "proportional" by mistake. What they want is anything but proportional power sharing. They want a vastly disproportional power sharing which will give to the 18% of TCs the same amount of power as the remaining 82% of Cypriots.

Bir, the brainwashed one is you. You can't stand anything Greek, and even though Cyprus is an obviously Hellenic island you are doing everything you can to destroy a civilization that existed in our island for 1000s of years.

As far as Turkey becoming "one of the leading lights", this must be the biggest joke I've heard for a while. The most you can hope for is for Turkey to maintain its military power, but my prediction is that soon Turkey will be forced to turn east, it will become more and more Islamic, it will eventually lose the support of the USA, and soon after will become another Iraq, possibly with an independent Kurdistan as a result.

We, along with friendly EU partners, are already working in pushing turkey to take the first step of her eventual demise

We will be liberating our own island, not invading others like Americans did in Vietnam or like the Turks did in Cyprus. It is the Turks who keep invading Cyprus in their effort to force on us their racist terms, so the Vietnam example fits your actions, not ours.

How is 70% - 30% "proportional" when TCs are the 18%? And what about the vetoes? Did you forget about those?

Regarding the Settlers, the "solution" that you want not only will not stop them from coming, but it will make it much easier for them to roam our whole island.

The fact is that your community is indebted to Turkey for helping you to get way more than any minority deserves, and therefore you will always serve the Turkish interests on the expense of our, and even some of your own, interests.

If we accept your "solution" Eroglou and all the other puppets of Turkey in Cyprus will have the power to decide what Cyprus can and can't do. The result will be to turn the whole of Cyprus in a Turkish puppet state, in the way the pseudo state is today.

Therefore we will maintain the freedom of the 2/3rds of Cyprus, and the solution will come when a real unification and a real liberation will become possible.

Whether there will be any TCs left in Cyprus by then, thats really your problem. Sorry, but since you choose to side with the invader we really can't do anything to protect you.

How does your "right" of self determination include our lands?

Self-determination means to determine your own self and what belongs to you. The north part of Cyprus does not belong to you, you are only illegally occupying it. Thats like saying that ruling France was a self-determination right of the Nazis. (and yes, there is was a German minority in France, and no, that was not an excuse for the Nazi occupation).
