Once more we are proven right. A few years ago we had a debate about the number of Settlers. At that time the Government of Cyprus said that the number of Turkish Settlers was estimated at about 120.000. The Turkish side insisted that the number was much lower.
This is from the CoE report made 7 years ago:
The exact figures on migration in the northern part of the island are unavailable and are based on estimations. Figures for settlers vary according to the source. Turkish figures show at least 31 000 settlers. The Turkish Cypriot and Turkish press have given far larger estimates for Turkish settlers in the occupied area including figures as high as 50 000, 80 000 or even 100 000. The figure advanced by the Government sources is 115 000

So who was telling the truth?
Was the Turkish side telling the truth about the number of Settlers? NO.
Was the truth "somewhere in the middle"? NO.
The true number was the one given by the Cyprus Government.
