You will not get any empathy or compassion from the Hellenofascists who inhabit this place...They will tell you so wot? More GCs have suffered and for much longer in Ottoman/Turkish hands,so you grandpa's pain and suffering do not count...Let alone his good deed...But it was worth telling the story, some of us who are still human will relate to it and appreciate it...Our village in Paphos was saved from GC irregulars/paramilitaries attack by the neighbouring GC villagers who put their lives on the line...My grandfather never forgot it,and never stopped telling us not to worry, our neighbouring GCs were "our own GCs" they would never let any harm done to us...And he was right...

...here the mirror Bir, it is exactly what my Uncle said, before he was made to disappear.

...and yet, you see, my Great Aunt got all her news from her neighbours, down to the roots of the olive tree in her court yard, which were shipped off to Turkey, with or without the isolation which tore them apart.

Im sorry? what do you mean?

is it about the spelling?

posting from a mobile although in fairness my greek spelling is not great.

To be fair some may wonder how real is a TC who uses "Pathos " instead of "Paphos". It's a common mistake among the ignorant carpetbaggers on another forum.

DTA is a genuine TC and a friend of mine. Even some GC's get the name Pafos/Paphos/Baphos/Baf/Ktima/Palaeo Paphos wrong. And with so many names who can blame DTA. Why dont you stick to one name.
