The embarrassment that is Cyprus Airways

Postby Me Ed » Sun Dec 19, 2010 7:30 pm

My cousin is still stuck from last night in Stanstead airport waiting to get home for Christmas.

She and all the other Cyprus Airways passengers had to sleep on the floor of the terminal building with some vouchers for a bite to eat.

She said that all the Turkish Airline passengers where put up in hotels last night.

What an embarrassment!

Palio,

of course I did.

My point is that the CA customers got treatment befitting a budget airline.

I am sure all the crew were put in a top class hotel!

What did one expect; Turkish Airlines belong to 'third world savages'.

A lot depends on expectations for take-off times and number of passengers booked on flights.

(Rather strange to make such a direct comparison with "Turkish Airlines" - an airline for a country of some 70 Million [probably more aggressively demanding passengers])

The "embarrassment" is in human rights records, not PR stunts ...

There might be other circumstances too. The TA passengers may have been there longer or the CA plane might have been in the wrong place. There may have been other reasons too. I would not have brought this matter up in this way.

I have friends and family intending to travel too this week, and they yet have no idea if they will travel at all. 'Great Britain'?, my backside.
