So calm down, I know there is heat between you and O, but on this occasion, she is quite correct.

It's usual to offer sympathy to a sick person, not use it as an excuse for a cheap dig at a forum contributor who, judging from her response, was not happy with Os post.

There are more polite ways of pointing out that Eroglu is only recognised by Turkey as president of "trnc".

I just get fed up with the forum fascists and their psuedo smartarse digs at anyone who dares to post on what they consider to be their private forum. Between them they have seen off many good contributors, CF is much poorer for their loss.

My grandfather was kidnapped by the Germans and deported to Auschwitz where he suffered all kinds of humiliation and torture by SS before being thrown alive into a mass grave.
My father was 5 years old when the Nazis took away his father. None of my relatives hate the Germans.
Why? Obviously I belong to family of idiots! :lol:

P.S. My father spent nearly two years in an Italian prisoner of war camp and had life-long health problems as a direct result. One of my uncles was killed fighting the Italians who invaded Greece. Yet we do not hate the Italians nor consider the Italians as anything other than allies and EU sisters.

However, you surely must realise the difference with the continuing Turkish occupation of Cyprus?

No need to apologise for a spelling mistake Daniella. I'm not as articulate in English as I would like to be but I'm often inclined to point out errors when I see them.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather but you are right not to hate Germans for what the Nazis did.

The difference in Cyprus, however, is that the regime that governs Turkey still supports the action of 1974 so hatred towards Turkey is understandable but a blanket hatred of all Turks and TCs is not. There are Turkish Cypriots who post here with very moderate views but the forum fascists have even alienated them. The attitudes they (and their TC counterparts) reflect are the reason the Cyprus problem has dragged on for so long.
