I have just watched a most interesting television broadcast (hosted by John Pilger) which deals with the manner in which 'The Media' are allowed to report on the issues which affect us all.

Shocking revelations about the objectives of Western powers and the manner in which they are able to manipulate the 'Media' in order to fool the general public.

No news to myself (I must confess) but then, I have actually SEEN the horrors that many refuse to believe are taking place where the US/UK are prosecuting their (as they like to call them) 'Wars' (but which any person with a modicum of intelligence knows to be 'Murderous Onslaughts' against innocent people) whilst seriously gagging those whose duty it is to report on the mayhem, by restricting the information that may be passed on to the general public via 'Media Sources'.

Beware Cyprus, those who fed you the lies that have created the situation that you are now in, that have managed to alienate the people and the property and spread hatred among you, are of the 'SAME ILK' as those that are currently engaged in the negotiations that are supposed to result in a 'Settlement', whichever 'Hat' they may be wearing.

Headquarters are not too far distant from your shores, the 'Deals' were done years ago and the desires of the people of Cyprus are bottom of the agenda.

A helpful tip for survival :- "Believe NOTHING a politician tells you and you will be HALF WAY THERE"

Watched it too........ thought provoking and in parts harrowing !!

But as my nature is that of a sceptic I then spent some hour's digging a little deeper and here is my genuine problem -

He rolled out Scott Ritter the former UN inspector to point out that basically there were no WMD's and that the war was basically " pre-ordained" and without cause.
I have no problem whatsoever with this fact ( and I believe it is a fact) as lets be honest - the first casualty of war is truth

BUT
The guy in question is also , almost certainly, "fond of young girls" as he was caught masturbating on a webcam with what he thought was a 15 year old girl - yes it was probably entrapment..... but even so - he should know better.

The others involved have a few "issues" regarding credibilty too -
words like "the elites", "the military industral complex" and "New world order" start my lunatic alarm ringing.

That said I'm not necessarily disputing there evidence.

One exceptions to this was Carne Ross who has impeccable credentials and seems to be a man of honour IMHO

I suppose my question is ( and this relates to many of the issues) -

If the source has "feet of clay" and the presenter , through his own agenda, invalidates the first rule of journalism - does it somewhat devalue the effort made to uncover the truth ??

What ...... Someone who questions both sides of the issue, tries to understand the nuance and context of an argument and avoids the use of blind bigoted diatribe ?

Maybe..... then again, its just as usefull for people who say things like -

As it shows them how to make a valid ( if sometimes simplistic and hypersensitive) point without resorting to insult, racism and bigotry.

But maybe that includes, necessitates and requires cognitive thought beyond your understanding............ back to the cave troglodyte

It is hard to imagine where one could find the 'Other Side' of this particular issue.

But you were sound asleep all these years when I was making valid points with evidence of war crimes etc, and you were even taking the Mickey out of the victims, so why do you now complain of my LOGICAL SUMMATION of your INCORRIGIBLE kind?
