get real, these are 2004 figures...get some up to date ones

lola, http://www.finchannel.com/news_flash/Tr ... llion_USD/

I don't know what your sources are getting their figures from but as you may know turkish airlines are a publicly listed company and therefore have to submit OFFICIAL figures and these are the official figures submitted to the Istanbul Stock Exchange...same figures reported by FT...the loss posted by reuters is not a cash loss...it is a balance sheet loss in value of assets due to revaluation of airplanes...the business actually made a profit but i guess it's difficult to understand economics for someone who doesn't know what an MNE is

also, it is a tourism issue as you have posted a news article related to tourism my friend...nothing to do with cyprus issue...or did u wish to make Turkey's tourism a cyprus issue?

and actually I said TURKEY, UK, AND ROC FUNNILY ENOUGH as in there are plenty of tourism trade....promoting it does not necessarily mean there is an issue with it...it means they are capitalising on a strong asset

and no, I wouldn't necessarily call 142 aircraft, most of which have intercontinental flight range a particularly small fleet...and 20% domestic flights in a country the size of Turkey is a pretty good figure....51% of their fleet was shed to make way for new aircraft which had to be fitted to the highest standards to fit in with the high standards of Star Alliance

and also, an MNE is Multi-National Enterprise

ZoC, how old are you? is that the way to solve the issue? well done...if you're looking for a fight I can give you some phone numbers you can call them out to play with you...6'3 and 18 stone doesn't make you the biggest person in the world my friend...i think you should consider that next time you call someone out...I have a cousin who's 6'5 and near 20 stones and a gym freak...i've never once seen or heard him call anybody out...mind you, if you were to call him out i've seen him take out much bigger guys then you...thats no way to solve an issue, friend...thats a fools way out of it...that's always been turkey's issue and greeks have always been smarter in resolving things diplomatically and have done better because of it...i think theres a lesson we can take from that, dont you?

Here are some more... 2007, 2008, 2009...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Tourism_rankings

And it doesn't look like Turkey was the most popular European destination! And not to mention that Turkey is not even European!

In fact the UN global tourism figures for 2010 haven’t even come out yet, so where did you get the sweeping notion that Turkey is #1 for 2010?

Your Turkish bum by any chance?
