no... followers of jesus (his immediate circle, disciples, family) were devout jews, as was jesus himself.... christianity was invented by saint paul, who had no end of bust ups with the jerusalem church, esp. when he said, 'to hell with circumcision, the gentiles won't buy it'. i think the term christian was invented when the romans needed someone to throw to the lions.

I thought so.

So why ask if he converted to Christianity then. Sorry, I am being a bit picky.
