How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

they were british subjects and were enticed to live at the heart of the empire because that's where all the empire's wealth had been sucked to; it was either that or face hunger and ethnic strife in a homeland which was being bled dry and divided-&-ruled.

can't comment on this with any certainty, but ur apparent ignorance of recent cypriot history and britain's nefarious role may play a part.

That is the reason that most Cypriots went to the UK. And maybe some of them don't like the British but they can tolerate them. If they could not tolerate them then they would just leave from UK and come back to Cyprus, like many of them did. They wouldn't say that part of the UK belongs to them and it is now the "Cypriot Republic of North London" (only as a joke maybe). So why did the Turks come to Cyprus and why don't they go back to their homeland if they don't like Cypriots? :?

mostly those people are not in the uk by choice.... but simply because they earn 10 times the amount of money they could earn in cyprus or have fled the turkish invasion and settled in and its not so easy for them to move back for many different reasons...

More threats coming from the Turks, it's the only language you understand. It's because of people like you that we have a Cyprus problem so you have only your fellow Turks to blame for your taksim and trying to take our island that I will never leave!! I will be here for ever and so will my children and theirs and theirs and one day when you Turks are sent home you will be in the history books as the last occupier that we had to fight off like the British and my grand children will ask me what it was like in Cyprus when the Turks had it split in two but failed and left Cyprus. In our schools free from jerkish rule.

Your the minority who would rather be Turkish then Cypriot so you leave go to turkey and stat there and don't even think about coming back to Cyprus we don't want your kind here.

Out of all the nations in the world (about 200 countries and territories) we were cursed to have the worst of the worst as a neighbor.

Can one imagine the bliss and harmony if Cyprus had been snugly geographically positioned between Italy and Greece?

Dream on palio we are not going anywhere in fact overtime we will be taking over the whole island you have every reason to fear the 70 million Turks right on your door step. What will you do whenyour children tell they have fallen in love with someone from the north? Over the next 10 years with no solution and more than 70 million banging on your door you will be the ones begging for partition.

Did it really all go straight over your head? I'm amazed you don't see how unfailingly accurate she is. Transfer her observations to the Cyprob and it accurately captures the mendacity, lies, evasions, deceit, irrationality and short-termism of Turkish behaviour in Cyprus.

I'd have also thought that knowing the Turkish character with its contempt for truth and logic, and general untrustworthiness is pretty crucial when it comes to making a deal for Turkish withdrawal from Cyprus.

Not only do you not know you're lying, you can't be trusted to keep your word. Any deal would need firm guarantees as history teaches us that commitments from Turks are completely worthless.

Oh,dear...Unfortunately for you I still remember certain things you would love the world to forget...Lies and deceit you say??? Sure...I remember back in 1960,a certain community signed a certain international agreement,to form a certain independent country...Before the ink was dry, those in power were plotting the demise of it,and preparing secret plans to rob their partners in government, and treacherously bring about Enosis with a certain foreign power...Now,what country was that??? What people were they???Lies and deceit you say??? Don't make me laugh...People in glass houses and all that...

Who says Turks don't like Cypriots,Sotos???
They wouldn't be in Cyprus if they didn't love us...It is the Cypriots who hate the Turks, remember???
