The solar pannel is not yet available in Cyprus - I looked into it.
It's got 8 batteries 6V each. Not sure about the total Amper Hours though

That's what I was thinking mate. Unless you can produce your own renewable electricity without buying power from the grid you can't have zero emissions.

I second that.
Renewable energy equipment are much more expensive and much less productive than fossil fuel generators. Also, storing electricity is a major setback (batteries). For now.
Of course, the above comparison is based on $80-100 per barrel of oil. In 20 years from now, oil prices will probably double or even triple. That's when renewable energy will make a lot more sense & economically viable.
Remember, today's solar panels are only 11% efficient, same goes for the batteries but not the case 20 years later...
