Do the GCs really want to get rid of the TA?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Do the GCs really want to get rid of the TA?

They appear to voice this desire but will absolutely nothing to make this happen. Why doe you think? is it because they have recognition all to themselves and are exploiting it for all its worth, if the TA left they would have to share with TCs, makes you question their real motives.

I've heard it all now. Even by VP's standards, this is about as dumb as it gets.

Cut the theatrics and I know it may be hard for you but try addressing the question.

VP, if this is one of your "thinking out of the box" request then I have a suggestion.

I have sympathy for the TCs because what Turkish policy is doing to the TCs in treating them as second class citizens in their own country is disgraceful.

What you guys need to do is move down south en-mass and claim political asylum.

You can then live as equal citizens in the democratic RoC and as EU citizens - none of this "equal partners" rubbish.

We can then embark as a united people to then take back what's ours from Turkey.

isnt this dangerous vacating the north and swamping the south. Firstly Turkey would just move more settlets to replace us secondly could the south provide us with employment an d housing?

I wonder what the TCs would do faced with a much larger group which they view as an enemy?

Chip, chip ... and when the time is right, a full scale attack!

VP,

It isn't going to be easy and very challenging indeed.

I think that if there is a genuine will and with the help of the EU/UN then it IS achievable.

For a recent historical precedent of this you just need to look at how the RoC successfully integrated the 160,000 ethnically cleansed GCs after the invasion.

But as Palio states; As longs as you TCs provide Turkey with its excuse they ain't going anywhere.

However if you TC work to remove that excuse, then Turkeys presence in Cyprus will become untenable.

This would be a mega step for TCs to take alone, the real issue is what have GCs done to help TCs take that massive step? what support are they offering and how would the go about working with TCs to get the international community to get the TA out of Cyprus??

also if immediately it would mean the gcs would have to give power sharing to the tcs if ta army left then what are they still doing here? your fighting for recognition if all that had to happen was ta army go home the tcs would of made it happen...

with out the support of all the tcs and turkey there is nothing we can do to remove the ta..

if you have a way please let us know. the sooner they go home the better
