come on the austrians

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Hermes » Sun Dec 05, 2010 1:28 am

I think this speech shows just how far Turkey has to go to convince the European public that it is ready for EU entry. Like it or not, the image of Turkey is backward, anti-Christian, intolerant, hypocritical, belligerent and totalitarian. This is why I have argued that Turkey needs to demonstrate how radically committed it is to European ideals, not in words but in practice.

The European Union, for all its faults, is a project founded on unity, freedom and respect for human rights. It is why the occupation of Cyprus has become a stumbling block to Turkey's EU entry and why Turkish withdrawal from Cyprus will be only the beginning of a long process.

Where do you think Herr Heitler aka Hitler came from. Nothing new there.

whats the matter can't you differentiate between the turk ambassador getting a dressing down for meddling in another country and what the word racism means?...amazing...

...i don't think your pashas and the all magnificents were much better than hitler....hell even your current tayip the magnificent's mentality is not much different to hitler...

lets look at article 301 for a minute...what the "austrian" said is true...if you were to substitude austria with turkey you would face severy penalties in turkey if you utter such words...but in your views exposing the turk ambassador is racist and equating him to hitler because of what exactly?...

truely amazing logic...

But you forget that Austria does not have the 301 so the ambassador can say what he did, you cant turn around and complain about it otherwise you should have a 301.

you kinda proven what the "austrian" was saying all along...muslims taking advantage of an open society...and people are getting fed up...and you call him a racist...

again learn to differentiatee who he is addressing...

If you get rid of laws like 301 and open yourself up to this sort of criticism you cannot complain when it happens.

You missed Kurupetos thread then.

Hitlers comment was with reference to the Ottomans actions in Armenia which Mustafa Kemal played no part in. Your bed time methinks.

Mustafa Kemal was one of the leaders at the time of the Genocides.

At the time he was fighting in the Yemen and Palestine against the British. I am sure you will provide the links where you get your info from. Remember that Hitler was refering to the Armenians .

again you're proving what the "austrian" is saying all along yet again...so in short you're saying that every country should have their own 301?...and you call this a progressive forward thinking society?...

Well you are complaining that Austria didn't have one and that this ambassador spoke out. If you want t stop such outburst then you should have a law against it. Ask yourself is there anything (laws) to stop this ambassador speaking up about the way Austrians treat Turks? if not then what the fuck is he complaining about?

Hitler was refering to the genocide!

There are many sites which link Ataturk with the genocide but you would denounce the sources since they are from the victims. Nevertheless, he was a commander in Diyarbekir in 1916 and the Caucasus front in 1917, so he knew what Enver and Talat were doing and hence contributed as he rose through the ranks. He was also charged of war crimes against Armenians in the battles of 1920-1922.

"I am telling you, this country is not exclusively made up of tolerance romantics. There are also people sick and tired of the one-way street tolerance babble which you feed on, Mr. Ambassador!"

"tolerance" has to be a two way street...and some of the most intolerant people around, are those who demand the most "tolerance" and denounce most loudly others as "intolerant"....not one mentioning names, but isn't this right bananiot?...
