Call me a cynic - but

Is anyone actually really surprised by the Wikileaks " revelations"

I mean ( greatly abbreviating)

Russia a klepto mafia state
Iran complicated and run by a nutter
America - suspicious, devious and happily trampling internaional law\conventions to suit there own needs
Saudi's are a bit tricky
China has an agenda
UK rather inconsequential lackey with mouthy former politicians and insane royals
Turkey - maybe isn't full of smiley happy islamists
Irans neighbours ...... don't like being next door to it
Greece was the hand behind Cyprus EU entry
Italy run by a lecherous pocket lining mafioso who likes his russian pals
Afghanistan the leadership is corrupt- actually the whole country is

and so on ad infinitum

Don't think I've heard much that actually surprised me............

Embarrasing for many countries- Yes
A cathartic moment for global politics- No

I was surprised (and pleased :D) to hear so much bad stuff levied at Turkey!

Yeah, all the rest were wishy washy .... but Turkey! Bad, badder, baddest!

The Turkish data was revealing and "fleshed out" the overall picture.

But after there childlike and cynical involvement with both the Iran nuclear issue and Gaza flotilla ..... not really a surprise.

I think I preferred the idea of a "military junta run secular state " to what seems to be evolving now - If you catch my drift :? :? :? :? :?

Could be my geo-political paranoia, but, I sense the stink of wahabi and Iranian cash at work in Turkey ( as well as Pakistan, Afghanistan etc etc)

If I could ..... I would

Probably be a damn sight more entertaining
and educational than wikileaks or endless -
" blah blah blah blah - because I googled some news sites that suit my agenda" threads.
Now get back to your willyleaks

No. But amused to see that some who were not familiar with Wikileaks site some time ago rubbished it as a source when I used it - but are only too happy to accept it when it suits their agenda!
