I don't doubt that.

The reality is that it's Turkish corporations that are reaping all these benefits and not Turkish Cypriots themselves.

Ankara has already ordered the trnc administration to grant at least 50% of public sector jobs to settlers.

In public speeches, there is a trend in referring to TCs as Turks of Cyprus so as to lump everyone, TC and settler, into one homogenous entity.

At this rate, it won't be long until the whole cultural identity of the Turkish Cypriot is consigned to history.

Hi Ed,

that was an old order and some people slightly misunderstand the "order" as you put it....In 1983 there were very little TC's experienced enough in governmental administration so Turkey had assigned certain individuals with certain experience and education in to certain roles in the central government of the TRNC but this has slowly been fazed out with the emergence of a highly educated new generation of TC's who are just slowly starting to work their way up the political ladder...Yes, Turkish corporations are reaping a vast majority of the benefits but at the same time it's creating jobs and generating tax income for the administration just like any other MNE set up in a foreign country...and lets be honest, TC's never had the funds to do anything of that scale before

The TC businesses that have risen due to the improvement in financial stature of the citizens are businesses like the car dealerships (all owned by TC's), my cousin has a very successful natural spring water company, several smaller businesses, hotels, construction, retail, etc etc.

You are not listening carefully,Mr Ed...In the trnc the settlers outnumber the TCs by at least 2 to 1...So it is only fair that they get 50% of the public service jobs... Thanks to the policies practised by the RoC government since 1964,and especially since 1974,the TCs have no choice but to return to their roots...You have only yourselves to blame...You played a game of "Mind over Matter" with the TCs all this time...You said 'We dont mind, and You dont matter'...well,guess what?...Now they are telling you they don't Mind becoming Turks of Cyprus...And the rest of the world do not Matter...

So in essence what you are saying is that there is NO economic isolation, trade is good, business is fine, so whats with all the croc tears about being isolated and wanting direct trade etc??? Seems someone is telling porkies then.

Err! Excuse me, but if

'.... We have worldwide artists giving concerts every year, The highest selling BMW dealership in the world, everybody owns new expensive cars, everybody has a lovely home, businesses are doing well...'

Doesn't say you have NO economic isolation then I dunno what does.

It's not a question of quoting, you should re-read what YOU wrote, never mind me.

Basically you are claiming you are doing so well, thats the reason you don't want to find a solution. Given the number of businesses, hotels and other your cousin(s) have, I am not surprised you have come here as a mouth piece to try and keep what they got. Did they buy them, or were they of the back of the lorry like all the others, mr analyst?

I don't know about the rest here, but for me I find you offensive because you're the second dumbest people on the planet right after Australian aboriginals.

That’s because half are puppet regime “civil servants” being fattened up by annual Turkish handouts, so don’t rush to pat them on the back…

B25, there is no international trade mentioned? I still dont see where your getting the no economic isolations? Artists do come over and perform but trade can not be made between TRNC and other nations, that is economic isolation...And I think you'll find that they were bought properties, not off the back of a lorry...I know GC's and TC's are similar but please don't treat us the same....

GR you have nothing of value to say so just stop...you keep going on about research and credible evidence yet all i hear is insults from you with no backing
