yes you do need to pay a number of taxes, including VAT and exise duty but not import duty (differnt if car is not EU). Try here.

Why? I sorted out 2 cars that I brought from the UK with only paying the registration fees. It was a very laid back process which only took about 5 months and I never waited around at the customs in Nicosia for more than half an hour at a time (6 or 7 visits).

If you read what is required, and ensure you have all the documentation, it is no problem at all.

wowser!!!!!!!!!!!!! u may as well have bought a jet plane!

make sure you take some smelling salts with you to nicosia......oh and someone to catch you when you faint as you hear how much they are going to mug you for!
