Why doesnt the south do more in its power to get rid of Turkey in the north? If the TCs are dependent on Turkey for financial support therefore giving Turkey a say in the internal affairs and influencing the current negotiations why does the south take measures to support or allow the north to stand on it own two feet financially therefore allowing them to move closer to the south and telling Turkey to butt out of their affairs?

Didn't the south offered to open up Famagusta under EU supervision to help the TCs to trade directly for the return of a decaying city of Verosa, which has no use to the north at all, and you turned it down. What gives.??
