A link to what you, idiot? Did I say it was something published somewhere or personal observations? This is a discussion forum and not just a googlefarting forum. And if you can't work out why it involves the CyProb, then you shouldn't be here!

Now go and amuse your C44forum friends.

Data from the credit card company JCC Payment Systems Ltd show that spending in the “occupied areas and Attaleia” (Antalya), using plastic cards issued in the Greek Cypriot part of the island, rose by 24.8% over the year earlier in September.
Total expenditure in that month rose by EUR 154,866 to EUR 779,477, compared with EUR 624,622 in September 2009.

Having a few senior moments just because we've turned the page, huh.

So, your "personal experience" is that I smoke crack and live in Scotland? Don't bother telling me what you've been on! Probably bought on one of your trips into the "North"!

..........................

A little reminder to those who are doing some cash-in-hand moonlighting safari trips into the occupied areas with tourists who are otherwise legally staying at the "Holiday lets" they look after in the free areas ...

"The authorities of the Republic of Cyprus maintain their position that all properties situated in the occupied area of the Republic of Cyprus including hotels, restaurants, shops and other establishments, are not evidently owned, controlled and managed by their legal owners. These properties have been illegally aliened by the occupation regime to people that manage them, without the consent of their rightful owners. The conscious use of such property and particularly overnight stay in the aforesaid hotels or other resorts is illegal and subject to the laws of the Republic regarding the conscious use of stolen property."

As I said, there's a regular little culture starting amongst the Brits living in the free areas (their credit cards perhaps?) of treating the occupied areas as a tourist attraction and this should be stopped!

You should either stand by your accusations or apologise for your mistakes.

Why so defensive?

seriously if you live in cyprus you know the gambling/whore culture I am not comdemning it but pulling the wool over your own eyes ,come on alot of people I know cross for a "boys/mens" weekend .....hey each to their own ..but IF a few foriegners fill their 4x4 I do not think they will ruin the ROC economy ,,and as cyprus is an eu member and the whole of cyprus is in (albiet suspended) freedom of movement is allowed
