This is Cyprus!!!

Postby kafenes » Tue Nov 23, 2010 2:18 am

When people hear the name Cyprus, they immediately think of the sun and the sea. There is so much more to Cyprus then the sun and the sea, like the mountains and meeting the village folk. I took this picture on Sunday morning 5.45am with my phone camera (wish I had a proper camera at the time) after went to a friend in the village, picked walnuts from a tree and had coffee in the courtyard of his stone built house while eating the nuts. What a glorious day it was and would like to share this picture with you.

Lovely pic of sunrise o'er Paphos. My dream was to has a house near Salamis and watch the beautiful sunrise every day and another home on the east coast to watch the sunset.

I used to go to Salamis beach in summers and spend all day there, then race back to kerinia to watch the sonset. Paradise indeed.

Kafenes, you are one lucky guy in all senses. Milti cant stop talking about you and yours.

Your photo is magical to say the least.

@ Bubbles, Thanks, doing well so far. Just too many things to do and so little time.

@ Daniella, Thanks Daniella, hope to meet one day.

@ Deniz, I was lucky to be at this spot at the right time and found myself over the mist, the only gorilla present was yours truly. :)

BTW did you mean a house on the 'west coast'? as the sun sun sets on the west.

Yes, a home, one on the east and one on the west coast. A nice dream - once its people stop bickering.
