A vıew of Kerinia towards Karavas from the Pentadakylos.

Just for you Daniella, in case you have not visited the northern shores of our Cyprus.

what a picturesque village, where from that dirt and clay great men were born.

I've not been there YET.
When you took the pic? It looks like autumn

Two summers ago. Autumn pics are usually crisper. In summer too much haze due to the heat.

This is Kerinia. Not the way I like it - a concrete jungle. Taken from the same spot as the previous pic.

In winter you can see the Taurus mountains of Asia Minor.

This is the old port of Kerinia with its Italianate (Venetian) house fronts. Nothing much has changed except the 'ownership' and the people promenading in the sultry summer evenings. Lately there has been an addition of large number of Cypriots too. (including, I dare the legal owners of the properties seen.)

Oh yes. They used to say with justification that the coolest water was from the white (gray really) clay jugs of Karavas.

C'mon this looks great! Better than Cyprus anyday.

Actually looks like the traffic's moving much faster than in Limassol. I think you're right and we could learn a thing or two. I did notice there weren't too many cars parked on the pavement either.

What's amazing is how they handle that intersection without traffic lights.
Zero order or discipline, zero regulation and yet they still manage with what looks like relative ease. lol
