And I have a photo for you too, but not in Cyprus. I took it on the way to Jungfrau/Switzerland. Just shows the crinkly old world we live in. The convoluting strata are amazing to see. When I took it there was a rock climber half-way up (or down) I think he reached his destination as I cannot find him/her.

Jungfrau and Aletsch glacier were included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
I’ve never been there..
I was thinking that we could open a topic with the photos taken on our travels.
Although I think others users might find it very unattractive ....

I saved this photo for you as there is a similar site on the Pentadaktylos, east of Ay. Amvrosios (in the north) In a much smaller scale of course. I took pictures of the strata which is right near the sea and 20 metres from the main road. I cant find the photos though. Still looking. It was these formations which enable fresh water to be found in wells 10 meters from the sea. No photos of Cyprus are boring to like minded people. Esp if they love Cyprus.

These pictures were taken at around six in the morning in my mothers village high up in the mountains during this summers heatwave. I was very glad at that moment to be staying above all that humidity. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it must have been for those dwelling further down the mountain, but it was a pretty awesome and stunning site to wake up to nonetheless!
