A view of Apostolos Andreas Monastery/Karpasia. I took the pic for the different architectural styles. The blues in the background arent bad either.

I hope the necessary repairs have been carried out since I took the above photo three years ago.

That's a sad sight Deniz, I wonder how the Muslims would feel if the RoC left the Sultan Hala Tekke (Sp?) to go the same way?

Now Tell me it was a peace operation and not an invasion?

I think you will find that it is our lot that have been delaying the repairs.

An invasion dressed as a peace operation.

I saw scaffolding around the main monastery but have not seen the results yet. It is a sorry state.

Who are you addressing Daniella?

And I have a photo for you too, but not in Cyprus. I took it on the way to Jungfrau/Switzerland. Just shows the crinkly old world we live in. The convoluting strata are amazing to see. When I took it there was a rock climber half-way up (or down) I think he reached his destination as I cannot find him/her.

Sorry to the forumers for jumping countries.

sorry I miss quote your post.. :?
Jungfrau and Aletsch glacier were included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
I’ve never been there..
I was thinking that we could open a topic with the photos taken on our travels.
Although I think others users might find it very unattractive .... :?
