Beautiful photo and wonderful evocations, Kafenes. :D

What I like the most about my parents' home is that we get the sunrise over the dip between my special mountains, known to me like the back of my hand and now shared with trekking-mad hubby; and then we catch the last glimpses of the setting sun in my baptismal sea, which literally lapped into our front room in the winter of 1964 (I think).

@ Daniella, Thanks Daniella, hope to meet one day.

@ Deniz, I was lucky to be at this spot at the right time and found myself over the mist, the only gorilla present was yours truly. :)

BTW did you mean a house on the 'west coast'? as the sun sun sets on the west.

Yes, a home, one on the east and one on the west coast. A nice dream - once its people stop bickering.

Or you can have a house on top of mount Olympus and see both sunrise and sunset without having to move an inch. :)

I thought of that, but considered the giant listening devices of the Yanks and Brits. No good in winter though. Would any land there be sold?

But Deniz, from what I remember, the sunset behind Stavrovouni is very beautiful looking at it from Anglisides as well. Do you remember that?

How on earth did I "try to ruin it"?

There are many threads which go along fine until someone like you comes along and says something stupid like the above.
