"Terror on the streets"

Postby Schnauzer » Mon Nov 22, 2010 10:43 am

As reported on the UK news this morning, the streets of Afghanistan (despite the battles with the Taliban) are SAFER for the children than are those of London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.

One wonders if THAT snippet of information might be a contributory factor in understanding the reason for why such nations as Afghanistan, are so reluctant to adopt the principles of the 'Democracy' that is being foisted upon them.

Well, stupid or not Deniz, THAT is part of the news which greeted us this morning.

Quite what the intention behind giving out such information might be is a little obscure, perhaps the government might be thinking of evacuating the kids from the UK to a SAFER place, they did something similar during WW2 (or so I'm told).

Update on the above, it would appear that the streets of NEW YORK are also included in the danger list.

The newsworthiness of THAT additional information is actually negligible since anyone who has been near the place will know that already.

Not to mention several other 'Battle Zones' across the pond.
