Sounds as though you or someone who's address book you are in, has been virused.

There is a similar scam operating from Minsk styling itself "Europa-Consult" or something like that involving spam e-mails offering seemingly attractive jobs. Apparently, once you "apply", they ask for various fees upfront to cover the cost of processing the application. There is no job, of course. Otherwise, perhaps they are just engaged in identity theft.
Recently these people were spoofing my business e-mail address in these spams, and I was getting a large number of them myself. It makes my blood boil, but it seems there is absolutely nothing that you can do about it.

Here is what appears to be a legal scam:

Last week I felt that I had to go out and get the latest version of Windows and Office 2010. I have been using Word 2003 as my main work tool for years, and it meets my every need. However, I felt that I had no choice but to fork out money to Microsoft and get the latest version, just because it is there and my clients will expect me to deliver in it. That, my friend, is a real scam.

Boomers,

If you have your own domain you can setup a “Sender Policy Framework” (SPF)…

http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/safety/ ... id/wizard/

If not, then you can send them directly to garbage like this…

R-Click on sender > Create Rule > follow options through…
