I have every sympathy with you and the problems you are facing. There are many in exactly the same situation, some worse and some better.

However, what do you hope to achieve by speaking to people on forums? Do you think they are in any position to help you?

Have you contacted people who may be able to help? Strength in numbers and all that. Have you contacted your MP/MEPs? Have you joined any pressure groups in the UK or Cyprus?

she has probably tried everything and is willing to try a forum, you never know who will be using them and who will be able to help.. you have to try everything to put these scum in their place and make them pay.. 30 million a year? from scamming people

why not contact local tv stations tyr to take this to the news, they make so much money and if they really do make it then they will be hard to put down but at least you can make every one aware of who they are and what scams they have before more people fall for it. drag their name through the mud like they deserve

Have you paid your 68 euros and complained about your lawyer to the Bar Association?
I would be the first to say that you shouldn't have to pay to come developerplain particularly when it is to a body who are clearly not independant but until you do follow the proceedures in place you cannot complain from a position of strength.

yes we have paid our 68 euros 16 months ago ,we have not heard anything from them the government is supposingly investigating the bar association and the lawyer and the developer .we was told in june this year by the government titos christofides we would hear from them in six weeks , we have not heard nothing, we are constantly writing to the government but never get a reply.what does that tell you

Oh Janet I am sorry for you, I finally read all post and the whole story is simply amazing.

cant you go over their heads and go to a european court? or from the uk? make them speed up the process

You can't go to the European Courts until you have exhausted the legal process in the country you bring your action.

No mileage in bringing an action in the UK unless the person you're bringing the action against has assets there.

every one in cyprus is ignoring her cant she still go because of the delays they are putting on it and the lack of response over such a long time?

This did make me laugh out loud when i read it on the Bar's site .... whilst in the grand scheme of things its a few €, you'd think there is enough money washing around in the legal circle that entertaining a few complaints could be swallowed by 'them', can't help but wonder if even paid complaints won't just be swallowed anyway

Janet, i will email you in the next few days. On the cyprus eastern owners forum, ITV are looking for participants in Cyprus for their 'HOMES FROM HELL' tv series. Is this worth looking into??? I would do this myself but my situation is further complicated as i am no longer with my partner.

yes we are in talks at the moment with homes from hell also othere things please e.mail them ,tell them you have vread our story ,and tell them your own story .you have nothing to loose.we have to highlight what this developer and lawyer are doing.i have cried so much ,enough to stop cyprus from ever having a water shortage again .I look forward to your e.mail janet

There is a small group of conmen in the construction industry and a larger group of naïve and incompetent foreigners coming to settle in Cyprus, that together have created this new mess where no such thing existed before on the island!

Without the one you can’t have the other… the conman thrives on fools and fools go straight to the conman!

Throw them both out of Cyprus!
