Buy a vehicle in cyprus (greek side )

Postby Daniella » Tue Nov 16, 2010 12:03 pm

Ciao amici
I need to buy a Jeep, and need all information about documents needed to purchase it ( ID…or passport….or else?)
(My intention is to buy a second hand from a private owner or a garage…looking for a cheap one…)
Do I have to be resident? ( these make me terrified :? )

Italian law provides for anyone who buys a vehicle - in addition to paying the price - is also required to pay the passage of property by a notary ( more than 1000 euros )
What does the law in Cyprus?
I have another question: if I buy a jeep for private use, then can I change the intended use and turning it into a business use?
Thank you in advance for the answers!

it is far easier to buy from a garage , they will do all the paperwork for you (except insurance) although will be more expensive than a private buyer ..just make sure if you buy a private car all import duty/tax has been paid..

ciao palio,
the word in the title has been written also to provocate an "abrupt" reaction of GR infact it's happened...
By other hand I thought to specified from "where" after I read this morning the topic "freedom in cyprus" about how can be difficult to own a car for some reasons..i don't want to step into this argument.
In italy WE are all under deeper tax control so you may always declare your intention..this is to prevent tax evasion (needless to say, this makes life very difficult).
Next time I need to specify a location do I have to write north or south maybe?!
thanks for help

lol... so is the business f1 in cyprus?!?!?!? i bet a normal f1 track is the size of nicosia LOL when i went to silverstone people had to use golf carts to go to different parts of the track

they will ask for ID or passport and driving license and then you pay how ever you want and its ok..

or buy it second hand you see on the side of the roads all the time jeeps for sale they probably wont need to see anything lol
