I suggest you have a car shipped from the UK. I recently did and used a very professional service: http://www.algysautos-cyprus.com/. Saved a bunch of money and got a great car. Talk to Algy and he will take care of everything for you, very professional and no hidden cost. I'd stay away from the local dealers. Maybe a private person would be acceptable, but keep in mind most of the cars are second hand imports due to the high tax on new cars. If you're interested I have a low mileage beautiful Jaguar X-type for sale.........Good luck and I think maybe North and South would be more politically correct in the future.

you do save lots of money but you pay to bring it over you pay to change the license plate numbers you pay to register it and so on, but even after all of that you save thousands

You simply say “Cyprus” as opposed to the illegally occupied territory of Cyprus.

So it’s either “Cyprus” or “occupied territory”.

_ Greek/Turkish

_ South/North

X Free/Occupied

I hope that helps! :D

nuuu palio mou... I had to close the connection for cafè time,
nothing related with F1 in cyprus anyway! You already know that I'll find a ticket free in september

To get in topic, if my memory don't betray me...is there a big garage along the road to paphos, before airport's junction?
maybe apc2010 can give an advice?

Either way you get screwed on the taxes and registration fees. I ended up paying for a 3 year old Volvo XC90 what you can get a new one in the UK for. New in Cyprus they are double what they are in the UK. Nice car though! I still saved a several thousands on what the dealers want here. All they could say is "why you want Volvo Ray, no good cars Volvo"
