Problems in store for the Turkish economy?

Postby Jerry » Fri Nov 12, 2010 9:31 pm

It looks like Turkey may be joining Greece as its current account deficit surges. Is Turkey's Tiger economy losing its growl. Will financial pressure force it to loosen its grip on Cyprus?

Current account deficit skyrockets 300 percent

12 November 2010, Friday / Today's Zaman, Ankara

The current account deficit (CAD), often pointed to as the most perilous hazard in the health of the Turkish economy, has deteriorated even further in September by surging 300.3 percent over the same month of the previous year, to $4.08 billion from $1.02 billion

Once more we live in hope.

Btw, Turkey’s economy is like a crazy lady with a Gold Mastercard in gay Paris. It’s all fun for now but soon…

Why on earth would I run off? Is that the best you can do after being told off by the headmaster sonny.

Why couldn't you just limit your first remark on this thread to the topic, are you determined to corrupt everything you touch, why are you such an aggressive person? Go north if you want to really let off steam, find a Turkish General and give him a good kicking or are you merely a keyboard warrior?

An honest non-abusive post......

...... until GR joined in!!

Nevertheless, if Turkey's economy is heading diown the pan, it might alter the equation a bit. Will they want to keep thowing money into that balck hole of the Psuedo state? If other reports are to be believed they already seem to be a bit relucatant.

If they succeed in joining, just as one politician here commented about achievment of enosis would they claim success for takism?
