When I first started arguing with you in this forum some 3-4 years ago, you claimed to have lived in USA where you got educated, and then you were living in Switzerland, and you had relatives in Cyprus, now you have relatives living in Turkey and you are holding a British(?) passport, presumably you lived a very long time in UK to get that, etc etc. Not that I am interested in the slightest bit in your nationality or where you live.
As for you experience in Turkey, YOU ARE MY HERO! So you put the poor Turkish policeman in his place did you? Yeah, right! The guy was obviously just friendly and inqusitive because he had the same name as you. I assure you he did not have a sleepless night after what you said. If and when the Turkish police wants to fluck with you because you made undesirable comments, you will not have any lips or teeth to reply with!
Hello BigOz,
I don't want to be rude to you, but it's not my fault that you have a lousy memory. You are slightly younger than me and yet my memory seems to "run rings" around yours. Why is it that I remember most of the things you have written here on the forum, specially the ones during our exchanges from 3-4 years ago and you only seem to have a very selected memory, and not a complete one at that.!
I have stated that I have family members living in Cyprus from my mother's side, and that I also have a twin sister living in Turkey. I have also lived in Turkey after leaving Cyprus, UK, USA and Switzerland and that I hold "ABC" citizenship. I let you figure out what countries the "ABC" citizenships' are. There may be an "S" one in the future also.!
Since I'm a just a little bit older than you are, why would it not be possible to have lived in all those places. On average, it would be a little more than 10 years in each country.!
The reason why the Turkish immigration officer was not offended in anything I said, is because I did not say anything that was offensive to him. He felt like having a little chat, most probably to practice his English, and since in my British passport the place of birth is stated as Nicosia, probably was the reasons why it prompted him to ask me if I was from the "trnc". My remarks about "setting the officer straight" was not meant to be disparaging one, but only as an educational one for him, that not all TCs from Cyprus see the "trnc" as their "country", that's all.
I have been through many immigration controls in many different countries in my life, and that only an idiot would offend any immigration/customs officers anywhere and expect to be treated with respect in return. As I've said, this Turkish officer was a cool officer, but I did not shy away from letting him know, that my country of birth was Cyprus.....period.!
