How did Turkish Cypriots eliminate 5,000 GCs in 1974?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

No it was enosis, which caused the call for taksim. But the we agreed a constitution But the gc akritas plan Ruined it a plan that is reputed (by very credible sources) was put together by one of the roc subsequent presidents.

Let the fools live in their paradise, and believe that they are the only victims of the little conflict known as the Cyprus problem...Shhhhhhhhhhhh...luluby baby on the tree top...when the wind blooooooowwwwssssss the cradddllleeeee willl rockkkkkkkk... :)

The true face of each community has been revealed in the post 1974 developments. Whatever had gone on before has become secondary to the post 1974 events.

The aquiescence at the colonisation, the de facto Enosis of the north with Turkey, the racist constitution that "nationalised' GC property, the silence on the 1974 war crimes, the refusal to allow investigation of the missing, and the list goes on, shows what the plan had been from the start. These FACTS give the lie to the notion that partition was intended as an antidote to GC Enosis or that it was for the safety of the TCs.

People tend to show their true face when they have power. We have seen what that face is and it is not at all inviting or hopeful in an equal partnership.

Sounds good but unfortunately, you’ve tried to derail this thread a few times and thus denied GCs from finding out about their dead! :?

:? a little confused about this Bir fella

First he says this:

BirKibrisli wrote:The killing of innocent civilians is a crime against humanity,no matter who does it...It must be condemned without any qualification...

But how is this thread helping us get closer to a solution???
We all know terrible, dastarly acts were committed by both sides, and most of these murderers have gotten away with their crimes...What purpose does it serve now to bring out the losses of one side, and demand proper answers to stupid questions??? :?

And then in his very next post he says this:

BirKibrisli wrote:Wake up and get real, all of you...Until every last person's pain and suffering is acknowledged and apologised for (no matter their ethnic origin) there will not be peace in Cyprus...The last 37 years is proof of that...

Which is it?

so why is no one in a rush to recognise the trnc i the bully got bullied and no one is helping the gcs?

if that where the case the trnc would of been recognises right after the invasion in 1983 when they declared it a second state

no one is in a hurry to help the trnc either ...

The bully did get bullied is a simple analogy but it does fit very well to the Cyprus problem.

Your question could be put the other way, why did nobody stand in turkeys way, why did nobody try to reverse the invasion?

probably the same reason they refuse to remove them by force today....

not wanting to go into war with such a large country and lose lots of men just for a tiny island no one cares about...

only we gc and tcs are stupid enough to fight for it and kill each other.
