Let me tell you a story about donkeys and the month of May.
Many years ago when you were still hibernating in your fathers ...ameletita, 1961 to be precise, I went to the Ktima registrars office in order to obtain a birth certificate needed for my passport. The elderly lady in the office on being given a letter my godfather had handed me to give her, asked the month I was born, May I replied, oh she said you must be Akis,( my childhood name ) how did you know I said, you haven't even read the letter, well she said there was only 3 births in May in Stroumbi, you and ...two donkeys
What were the names of the other donkeys?
One was called PLONKER, the other ? Cant remember, but I'm sure it was a suitable name for a donkey, might even have been called KouruPlonker.
Come to think of it anyone who admires ELAM, CAN ONLY BE A BLOODY DONKEY!
I have a big penis, but I am not a donkey.

Arrived late Sunday for a very short trip, leaving tomorrow and back to the grey miserable skies of the UK, raining as always.
took a stroll early this morning about 4.30 am, listened to the waves by the seafront, watched the sunrise, such a wonderful sight, it is really Paradise on earth, but for some no doubt the latest economic turbulence has caused immense stress, the young man serving my tiropitta and espresso coffee at the 24-hour cafe, told me that he finished his studies in Greece but unable to find appropriate work, serves at this cafe.
I feel exuberant at the sight of the day unfolding and the heralding of another glorious day. No wonder so many ex pats have made their home on Paradise island....
